This 16-week remodel started with a vacant bank that our team converted a unique urgent care center. Restructuring the original building from the inside out, the healthcare center features 4 exam rooms, a radiology room for X-rays and imaging, a patient waiting area, a pharmaceutical counter, and most interestingly, a contactless drive-thru examination amenity.

After delivering the best value for the project in a competitive bid, our team was selected to develop a new 3200SF location for Center for Sight. This location identified specific design guidelines and will become the model for standardizing all future Center for Sight locations. Our team worked diligently to maximize efficiency and keep the project under a compact, three-month schedule.

Maximizing the benefits of a design-build program, Firmo worked closely with the client to enhance the functionality of this rehabilitation center. Our team reconfigured the facility and customized a remodel of the entire space, resulting in an affordable and feasible plan for business operations. The renovation was completed in two phases, allowing the Owner to continue providing services during construction. Firmo worked closely with the Owner and ensured the project would meet the requirements of the Small Business Administration financing program.

This design-build project includes the complete renovation of a 4,000SF commercial building, that was updated to meet current hurricane code regulations. The project was also a restoration of a modern style, Sarasota School of Architecture era building. Additional footings and steel reinforcements were welded to the building's existing structure and the AC system was redesigned to improve the indoor air quality and energy efficiency. State of the art interior design elements were used, including an Axiom Edge Armstrong ceiling, custom millwork, and enhancements were made to the exterior, including a stainless-steel fascia and T&G cypress wood siding.

Our construction management expertise was retained to execute multiple projects for this occupational medical group during a quick national expansion. Taking advantage of the latest in construction management technology, we effectively coordinated the project with their national corporate team. Working under a carefully planned project schedule, our team successfully implemented national brand standards for the growing network in the region.

Our team designed, engineered, and remodeled multiple medical office locations for Comprehensive MedPsych Systems, including their Headquarters in downtown Sarasota, FL. The design-build project included expanding the existing space, a customized interior design scheme, and a complete overhaul of the floorpan and finishes. Special consideration was also given for sound mitigation and unique medical equipment.

To accommodate the unique needs of this treatment facility, our team executed a design-build program that included complex, detail-oriented preconstruction services. Special considerations were made to accommodate high oxygen content in the space, such as the installation of special piping, two-hour fire rated partitions, and a sprinkler system fitted with Tyco-B quick response heads. Relying on our development and expertise, we obtained approvals from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to mitigate asbestos.
