The Hotel Indigo in downtown Fort Myers will undergo a renovation and a brand name change. The 67-room hotel at 1520 Broadway will be transformed over the next six months and become Tapestry Collection by Hilton, a luxury brand. The renovated hotel will have 72 rooms.

Saratoga-based Firmo Construction says it has been hired to transform downtown Fort Myers' Hotel Indigo into a Tapestry Collection, Hilton's newest upscale brand, over the next year. Firmo says it will execute a full, top-to-bottom conversion of the eight-story property in partnership with HOS Management, a hospitality and development company.

A new Hampton Inn by Hilton is coming to downtown Fort Myers. The four-story Hampton Inn will be on downtown Fort Myers' main traffic artery, Cleveland Avenue, and will feature 118 rooms, an outdoor pool and patio area, a flexible boardroom and a fitness center, according to a statement.

The company added a superintendent, project manager and director of marketing and communications.
